At the Society of Eastbourne Artists Exhibition at the Lansdowne Hotel, Eastbourne last weekend Christine’s acrylic painting ‘Eastbourne 3’ received the President’s Award: HIGHLY COMMENDED. Depicting 5 iconic Eastbourne landmarks it also received praise from the Mayor, Cllr Janet Coles, who officially opened the Exhibition on the Saturday morning and handed out the awards. The event, held over the three days of the Bank Holiday weekend, was well attended and generated numerous sales of paintings, portfolios and cards. As the SEA celebrates its 70th Anniversary this year it was fitting that the Exhibition was such a success.
