‘A Christmas Carol’ is on my easel and I’m confident it will be completed soon and ready for the SEA Exhibition at Eastbourne Town Hall on 21st & 22nd this month.

Continuing my series of literary themed paintings, I have just completed an acrylic of ‘the Pickwick Papers’. The original title of Charles Dickens book was called ‘The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club, containing a faithful record of the perambulations, perils, travels, adventures and sporting transactions of the corresponding members. Published in 1836, it was his first novel and he went on to write another 14 as well as 27 short stories and other works, many of which feature in my painting.

Along with the two paintings mentioned above, ‘The Old Curiosity Shop’ is my third painting that will be in the exhibition.

I will also have a craft table at the Town Hall, as will Val, and we will be selling our range of  Art Bags, Art Mugs, prints, cards and paperweights.  It’s a great venue and we’re looking forward to having two enjoyable days there.
