I WAS thrilled when asked to be the very first Artist-in-Residence at the new Bay Side Diner in Pevensey Bay.
I commenced the position on Thursday 30 July and spent both morning and afternoon sessions sitting outside under the awning sketching local scenes including the new eaterie.
The above sketch is to used in the development of an online platform to promote their new enterprise.
It was great having the opportunity to showcase my artwork and talk to local residents and holiday makers about my art, the ‘quirky’ style that I’ve developed and future paintings that are in the pipeline. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day. I will be continuing my residency at the Bay Side Diner every Thursday throughout August.
