Joan Miro: Horse, Pipe & Red Flower

0

Joan Miró i Ferra was a Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramicist. Born on 20th April 1893 in Barcelona he died in Palma, Majorca on 25th December 1983. Earning international acclaim, his work has been interpreted as Surrealism. Three facts about him:

  • He was born into the family of a goldsmith and watchmaker and started drawing classes at the age of seven.
  • His early art was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Cezanne.
  • He expressed contempt for conventional painting methods as a way of supporting bourgeois society.

I try to apply colours like words that shape poems, like notes that shape music.
