I AM just putting the final touches to my acrylic painting ‘VICTORY’ which includes applying varnish and glaze.

I will then frame it before putting it to one side until entering it into the SEA Exhibition at the Lansdowne Hotel, King Edward’s Parade, Eastbourne 2nd to 4th May. I will upload a photograph of the finished painting in the coming weeks.

Next up, I’m taking a week’s break from painting to complete a short story for a writing competition in ‘Writing Magazine’.

I’m also going to be submitting an entry in the ‘Food for Thought’ Writing Competition. Then I’ll be at Inkspot, our local writing group, on Friday 6th March at the Pevensey Bay Baptist Church from 6.30pm. We’ll be celebrating our 1st anniversary. New members are always welcome ~ just turn up if you’re interested in joining the group. We meet on the first Friday evening of most months throughout the year. Exact details can be found on www.inkspotbythesea.co.uk

On Wednesday 4th March, I’ll be attending a watercolour demonstration by Peter Robson at the Pevensey Bay Art Group. Although I’m not working in watercolours, at the moment, it should still be interesting to watch.

Later in the month I’ve got the follow-up Lino Print session with Catalyst Arts in Eastbourne. Really enjoyed the first one in January and pleased that this one will be running for 5 hours ~ that’s an extra 2 hours ~ so no excuses for not completing the print this time.
